Serious Games - The Serious Games Networking Portal

A place for people with an interest in serious games

I'm looking for opinions from the network about what kind of online tools would be useful in getting your game ideas matured and finished. Specifically:

How do you do the actual coding? (SVN, Git, etc.)
Do you generally work alone on smaller projects
How do you find team members for your projects
What online tools do you find useful

I ask because we're about to launch a site designed to help small teams build and launch games, and I would like to help the serious community as well as the casual entertainment community of developers. Any feedback will help me make something better for you to use. thanks.
