PIXELearning is a well-established, ASTD award-winning developer of online ‘serious games’ and immersive learning simulations. Due to rapid growth we require an Adobe Flash ActionScript developer with solid exposure to ActionScript 3 to enhance our Coventry-based R&D team.
PIXELearning has, for six years, created advanced game and simulation-based learning applications for clients in Europe and the United States including Coca Cola, KPMG, PWC, Shell, HP, Comcast and Fifth Third Bank.
The role will entail playing a key role in the application architecture design, development and implementation for internal serious games engine development and external client solutions. PIXELearning utilises a ‘burstable’ resourcing model which involves a core team in Coventry, UK-based freelancers and outsourced in India. The role will involve frequent interaction with staff, clients and development partners across the world. PIXELearning are working on pushing the boundaries of adult learning, have a constantly-expanding international client list and as such this is an ideal opportunity to join a world-leading company with which you can enhance your career, constantly develop new skills and work on truly exciting software application projects.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years commercial experience of developing Adobe-based applications, a solid grasp of software engineering principles (e.g. OOP, UML & Cairngorm), good team and communication skills and a desire to learn.
Experience with Flex, Director, Media Server, XML, ASP.net and/or Media Server would be a distinct advantage although PIXELearning will support the successful candidate in learning new skills.
